Fairlee Town Hall Renovation Project

The building currently houses the town government offices, space for community meetings, and an open upstairs area suitable for dances, movies, community events, and general recreational and other assembly uses. However, it does not have an elevator for handicap access, so can't be used for public events. The roof has been replaced and the structure is sound, so we're proceeding to the next phase, which is making the second floor accessible with an elevator, and bathroom facilities. On April 26, 2017 the town voted for a bond to finish the project and that work is continuing.

Many of the 100-year-old slates from the roof renovation were saved and given to 27 local artists, who then created 40 unique works of art. To view those pieces, and for more on the auction, please visit the silent auction page.
